About Fidelifacts

Fidelifacts was founded in 1956 by a group of former FBI agents. The goal was to bring FBI type background investigations to the corporate sector. This transition has been very successful and has been unmatched for over 60 years. Our years of experience and dedication to quality and customer service make us stand out among our competitors. We balance the difference between high tech accessibility, quality, security and customer service. We will customize your requests to match your requirements and needs, no matter how small or large. Whether you require 1, 10 or 100 reports, you only use us when it is necessary. We do not have a minimum requirement.

Verification of an applicant’s background will be made by contacting the appropriate sources of information in each category as indicated on the candidate’s application. Contact will be made by one or more methods, including telephone interviews, written requests and computer access.

Specific sources of information will be identified in our reports and may include, but are not limited to DIRECT contact with:

  • Former Supervisors
  • County Court Records
  • Municipal Court Records
  • Federal Court Records
  • State Repositories
  • Law Enforcement Agencies

When conducting a background investigation for employment, our trained investigators ask a series of questions of a work-related nature. The first step is generally to verify employment history through a past employer’s Human Resources Department and then to locate and interview the subject’s previous supervisor.

While contacting Human Resources, we will attempt to verify whatever information is provided on your application form. Our investigative report may include verification of any or all of the following:

  • Employer’s name & address
  • Correct name
  • Correct Social Security Number
  • Exact dates of employment
  • Starting & ending position
  • Salary or pay scale
  • Address while employed
  • Reason for leaving
  • Eligibility for rehire

Fidelifacts makes every effort to provide 100% accuracy in our investigative reports. Since we are in the information gathering business, we must rely on our sources and the expertise of our investigators. We always attempt to obtain facts from reputable sources, such as personnel records, former supervisors, business associates, schools, court records, state agencies and reputable on-line services. Fidelifacts regularly audits our investigative reports and the sources of our information.

No report leaves our office until reviewed by supervisory personnel. When adverse information is obtained, an investigator MUST make an attempt to confirm that information through one or more sources. ALL sources are identified in our reports.

We do not require you to sign an annual contract, so that you may use our services as the need may arise. Thus, our reports may be scrutinized on a daily basis and if you are dissatisfied, you may discontinue using our services AT ANY TIME.
